«CHANGES» INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITION / RANIVILU ART GALLERY
I’ve known the work of Flix since his figures and geometric murals began to surprise us in the streets of Caracas, about fifteen years ago. Since then, his language – based on geometry and the use of yellow, blue and red in different shades – became recognizable as a signature of his genius. However the language of artists is constantly changing. The exhibition «Change», that we present today, gathers a series of pieces made by Flix after a study process that has led to an organic transformation of its visual grammar. In the series shown -Apertures, Magmas and Frequencies- an inquiry about color is patented, in which the artist used vivid and dense tones in contrast to a range of grays. This procedure included the experimentation with new pigments, which guarantee a deep saturation, necessary for the creation of compact pigmented planes. In the Genesis Cube triptych, silver segments were included as a way of integrating vibration into the pictorial space. The work with wide-angle triangles and the composition has become more complex. In Magmas and Frequencies, the artist executes forms following a radial development with respect to a center, composing with small triangular planes in succession; generating the reverberation effect that we see in Frequencies, or the outbreak, or florescence effect, that we see in Magma. In Aperture, these small segments are distributed on the canvas forming a virtual relief given by the composition of visual depth created by the different chromatic contrasts.

«I GIVE YOU MY WORD» / 56th INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION,
THE BIENNALE DI VENEZIA
With the title «I give you my word» Venezuela, once again, is at the Venice Biennale.
The exhibition proposal is made by the work of visual artist Argelia Bravo and the street artist known as Flix.
The proposal by Oscar Sotillo, who set the reference of the word as a starting point to ensure that the two visual creators can communicate with them and the public who visit the Venezuela Pavilion in Venice.
«MAJO-KARAISA»
Flix approaches the subject from a poetic perspective. A skein of lines that evoke the fabrics of the original peoples of Venezuela invades the architectural spaces and unfolds through floors and walls to establish an open playful geography where the spectator-user stops and alters the shape of the work by rearranging three-dimensional pieces that can be used at its discretion. A poem by the renowned Venezuelan poet Gustavo Pereira is displayed around the play area. Flix’s work is called «Majo-karaisa», which in the language of the Warao people who live in the Orinoco Delta means my other heart, an expression that this people uses to say friend.

«ESPACIO HABITABLE» IINDIVIDUAL EXHIBITION / MUSEO DE ARTE CONTEMPORANEO DEL ZULIA, MACZUL
The aesthetic proposal of the creator Flix essentially assumes the street as an epicenter for the display of a contemporary sensibility loaded with dense patterns, chromatic labyrinths, robots, stencils, among other creative experiences that encompass initiatives as dissimilar as videomapping and stickers. These proposals mainly bet on the activation of urban aesthetics: the playful, the temporary, the sensible surprise, all woven as a strategy for the construction of new senses to live and interpret the city. In this way, Flix tries to promote the transformation of the urban context and of those who inhabit its settings: citizens.
So, where no one expects the deployment of new content, new shapes and colors, Flix presents a game of sensible alterations where the characteristics of the place are transformed into a novel experience for the viewer. This urban poetics allows temporarily promoting the idea of transformation, of individual and collective movement, it is the city that comes from the action of the citizens who inhabit it. It is the city that comes from the experience of the city.

«PORTAL OF CONSCIOUSNESS» COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION / DESIGN AND ITS DIMENTIONS
The Portal of Counciousness is an intervention embedded in the two dimensional planes of the wall. The same work then protudes from the plane, coloring the surrounding space and branching throughout it. It seeks to simulate fragments of light scatter, blurring the lines of gravity and inducing the viewer to participate in the intervention. Portal of Counciousness transports viewers to a espanded state of counciousness, a state where there is neither time nor space, and everything comes together to create and ethereal atmosphere that envelops the viewer in an astral journey of color and sentations. It is a space where every visitor experiences its own reality.
